Every year since the passing away of Sr.Anna Ali in 2012, her memorial has been held at St. Patrick’s Parish Church in Burnt Forest, Eldoret Diocese, in Kenya.
The Memorials take place on Corpus Christi Thursday. They begin with a night vigil of prayer on Wednesday evening and end with Holy Mass on Corpus Christi Thursday.
The night vigils are in response to the Divine Appeal message and the hours are spent in celebrating Holy Masses of atonement, praying chains of Rosaries, Confessions and Adoration of Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament.
The Spirit and aim of the memorials is derived from the Divine Appeal message itself. It is a call to repentance, atonement and reparation for our own sins, those of the whole world and in the first line those of souls entrusted souls – Priests.
In preparation for the 10th memorial of Sr Anna Ali on the feast of Corpus Christi 15-16th June 2022 , we shall have one night vigil of prayer every month at Burnt Forest. The dates and intentions of the novena are listed below. While we shall pray for all intentions of this novena together with all the intentions you will bring along or send in each vigil, we have set aside a special intention to pray for in each vigil as follows:
For those who can make it to Burnt Forest, you are most welcome to come and keep vigil adoring Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and repairing for ourselves, for priests and for the whole world.
In Divine Appeal 88, our Lord Jesus Christ says:
